Motorola launches MotoYuva W270

Motorola has rolled out its latest mobile phone — MotoYuva W270 in the Indian market that offers an inbuilt MP3 player with dedicated MP3 and FM keys.These keys can be operated to adjust the volume for music, change FM channels and MP3 music tracks. The phone comes with stereo FM radio with RDS support that allows to view FM station, artist’s name and name of the song.

The phone features a 2GB expandable memory and an enhanced battery that provides up to 550 minutes and 450 hours of standby time.”We believe MotoYuva W270 will redefine mobile music and create a paradigm shift in ‘making music listening a style statement’,” said Lloyd Mathias, Director Marketing, India & South West Asia, Motorola Mobile Devices.

At 94g, the phone is equipped with Hinglish predictive text software, wallpapers and screensavers, along with preloaded games like Sudoku and Tetris.Also, the phone is equipped with CrystalTalk technology that helps reduce ambient noise.MotoYuva W270 comes with GPRS Class 10, and a T-Flash Card support up to 2GB.The phone has 256MB microSD card, USB cable and stereo headset and will retail at Rs. 3,583.

Intex Launches New Entry-Level Handset

Intex Technologies has just launched the IN-2222, its latest entry-level handset. It has a 65K color display with 128 x 128 pixel resolution, and other salient features include a one-touch torchlight and GPRS. In case you’re a music lover the IN-2222 has an integrated FM radio with a recorder for recording tracks playing over the air, plus a voice recorder. It allows for up to 2MB of recording space.

Nokia 5000, 2680, 1680 Classic and 7070 Prism

In its move to speed up the sluggish market enlargement in Europe and North America, mobile phone giant Nokia has introduced four new handsets that have been particularly designed to let customers in developing markets bid adieu to their old phones and replace them with the recently launched ones.

Nokia 5000, 2680, 1680 Classic and 7070 Prism is the latest phones from the Finnish company. Priced between 50 euros and 90 euros, the devices comprise basic features such as FM radio receivers and recorders, cameras, and music players, to give confidence consumers to improve.

Nokia 5000 is the company’s very first sub-EUR100 megapixel camera-equipped phone and incorporates key functions like FM radio with recording capabilities, E-mail, and General Packet Radio Service, or GPRS, connectivity. Priced at EUR90, Nokia 5000 will ship in the second quarter of this year. Nokia 2680 is Nokia’s first slide model targeted at developing markets and is a camera phone with FM radio with recording functionality. Retailing at EUR75, Nokia 2680 will ship in the third quarter.

Nokia 1680 Classic comes with a VGA camera, E-mail, and phone sharing functionality. It will ship in the second quarter for EUR50. Nokia 7070 Prism is a flip phone that boasts a voice recorder, hands free speaker, plans to ship in Q3 of 2008 for EUR50.
